It is the mission of the Valhalla Shakespeare Project to:

  • present the works of Shakespeare raw, unadorned, and free of charge to the public,
  • create theater that is welcoming, inclusive, and a vital component of the civic and cultural life of the community,
  • challenge and illuminate both actor and audience by emphasizing process over product,
  • engage and educate students and teachers through a personal and immediate curriculum,
  • offer apprenticeships designed to develop theater and performance skills,
  • pioneer strategic partnerships that expand and enhance artistic and community initiative, and
  • reveal Shakespeare for a modern world.
